Dover King, a 60-year-old Black male from Philadelphia, was attacked inside a residence on the 1900 block of Georgian Road on the morning of Saturday, June 14, 2014. Philadelphia police officers were called to the home around 10:00 a.m. and found him suffering from a stab wound after what investigators described as a residential robbery.
King was still alive when officers arrived, and he was taken to Albert Einstein Medical Center for treatment. The attack did not end in an immediate death, but the injury proved fatal. After nearly two months, King died from his wound on Wednesday, August 6, 2014.
