On August 30, 2016, Kevin Willis, a 28-year-old resident of Philadelphia, was shot and killed in a violent incident on the 5500 block of Sansom Street. The incident occurred shortly after midnight, and when Philadelphia Police Officers arrived at the scene, they found Willis suffering from multiple gunshot wounds to his head and legs. He was immediately transported to Penn Presbyterian Medical Center, but unfortunately, he succumbed to his injuries later that morning.
