In the late summer of 2009, concern grew for Gregory Allen Toeniskoetter, a 42-year-old Caucasian male, when friends and family had not heard from him for several days. This prompted a welfare check at his residence at 614 SW Nevada Street in the John's Landing area of Southwest Portland. On the evening of Saturday, August 8, 2009, police officers arrived at his condominium to a grim scene.
