On June 13, 1977, 8-year-old Lori Lee Farmer, along with two other young Girl Scouts, Michelle Guse and Denise Milner, was murdered at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma. This tragic incident, known as the Oklahoma Girl Scout Murders, occurred during their first night at camp. The three girls were raped and killed, with their bodies discovered on a trail leading to the camp's showers, just 150 yards away from their tent.
