On June 13, 1977, Michele Guse, age 9, was one of three young Girl Scouts brutally murdered during their first night at Camp Scott in Mayes County, Oklahoma. The victims, Michele, Lori Farmer (age 8), and Doris Denise Milner (age 10), were sexually assaulted, bludgeoned, and strangled. Their bodies were found early in the morning by a counselor who stumbled upon sleeping bags scattered about 150 feet away from their tent, near the trail leading to the camp showers.
