On a summer day in Oklahoma City, a dispute at a convenience store tragically escalated, ending the life of 17-year-old William Jackson. The young Black man was at a shop near Wilshire Boulevard and the Northwest Expressway on June 8, 2024, when an altercation broke out among several people. In the ensuing chaos, William was fatally shot, becoming the city's 37th homicide victim of the year.
