On September 28, 1966, Richard Bislich, aged 36, was fatally shot during a robbery while working at the Red Head Gas Station located at 390 East Exchange Street in Akron, Ohio. Bislich was an employee at the station and was attacked during a nighttime robbery. He was critically injured in the incident and died several days later as a result of his injuries.
