On August 22, 1970, John Finneran, an 86-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was tragically killed during a home invasion. The incident occurred at Finneran's residence on Stoddard Avenue in Franklin County. According to investigators, an unknown suspect entered the house by breaking through the rear screen door. Once inside, the intruder ransacked the home and assaulted Finneran, resulting in his death.
