On October 16, 1980, Norman Liver, a 57-year-old bachelor, was found murdered in his apartment at 11720 Edgewater Drive in Lakewood, Ohio. Liver had sustained multiple stab wounds, along with significant mutilation, including his sexual organs being removed. His body was found face up in the hallway near his bedroom. Despite an extensive investigation by the Lakewood Police Department, the crime remains unsolved to this day, and no suspects have been identified.
