Edwin Quintanilla, known by the gang moniker "Little Crooks," was fatally shot on July 2, 2008, in San Diego, California. The incident occurred during a confrontation between members of the Shelltown gang, to which Quintanilla belonged, and a rival gang. The confrontation escalated after Quintanilla challenged the rival gang member, who then pulled out a gun and shot Quintanilla.
