On November 18, 1989, Ralph Leslie Johnson, a 60-year-old resident of Athens, Ohio, was found dead under suspicious circumstances at the Dow Lake Dam in Athens County. He was discovered in a restroom located in the dam's parking area, following a call received by the Athens County Sheriff's Office. Upon arrival, deputies found Johnson deceased at the scene.
