Carl Schober, a 39-year-old man, was found deceased in Fayette County, Ohio, on August 22, 1991. His body was located in a cornfield near Fitchthorne Road, and the cause of death was a gunshot wound to the head. Schober had been last seen by friends on August 16, 1991, in Nashville, Tennessee. He mentioned that he was traveling to Kent, Ohio, and was alone at the time. Before his death, Schober had been living in a communal center on Short Mountain in Liberty, Tennessee.
