On January 23, 1992, Janet Amar, a 35-year-old resident of Columbus, Ohio, was found strangled to death at her residence on Berkeley Road. Janet had been missing for some time before she was discovered in a vacant building, and her family had reported her missing earlier that month. The circumstances of her death were tragic, and it became clear that she had been the victim of a violent crime.
