On October 12, 2001, Frank Drees, 37, was shot and killed along with his friend Vicki Waters, 42, on the front porch of Drees' residence at 1278 Quebec Road in Cincinnati, Ohio. The incident took place after the two had spent an evening at a bar together. While at the bar, they were confronted by an ex-boyfriend of Vicki, leading to a verbal altercation. The ex-boyfriend was ultimately removed from the bar, and Drees and Waters decided to leave shortly thereafter.
