On November 28, 2002, Markus Darnell Rogers was fatally shot at an apartment complex located at 1823 Amber Hills Drive in Akron, Ohio. The 22-year-old victim was discovered deceased at the scene, and the homicide remains unsolved. Markus was known by the nickname "Money Marc" and was remembered fondly by those who knew him.
