Christopher Lamont Womack, also known by the nickname "Red Dog," was tragically killed on November 10, 2004, in Lima, Ohio. Womack, who was 30 years old at the time, was found shot while seated in a rental car parked in a driveway at 1516 Wendell Avenue. The incident took place around 8:30 p.m. It is believed that there may have been someone else seated in the car with him when he was approached by an unknown assailant who shot him.
The assailant fled the scene, and Womack succumbed to his injuries before medical help could save him.
The Lima Police Department responded to the incident, but despite the investigation, the case remains unsolved. Womack, who was 5'9" tall, weighing around 150 pounds, was well known in the community. Authorities suspect there might be people with information regarding the case who have not yet come forward.
