Robert Owens, a 20-year-old resident of Fresno, California, was killed on January 4, 2009, in what authorities described as a tragic incident where he was caught in crossfire. Owens was staying at a hotel near Ashlan Avenue and Highway 99 in West Central Fresno when the shooting took place late on a Saturday night.
