Kendrick Pope, a 16-year-old from Dayton, Ohio, was tragically shot to death on September 11, 2008. He was found behind the former Jefferson Montessori School in the 1200 block of North Euclid Avenue. Reports indicate that Kendrick was stripped of his pants and shoes before being shot up to eleven times in the chest and torso. The brutal attack occurred in an area known for its struggles with violence, which had already seen a significant number of homicides that year.
