On December 26, 2011, Alex Wells, a 46-year-old resident of Akron, Ohio, was tragically killed in a robbery that turned fatal. The incident occurred just after 11:00 p.m. as Wells was arriving at his home located on Hardesty Boulevard in Akron. He was ambushed and fatally shot by unknown assailants during what appeared to be a robbery. Despite investigations, no suspects have been identified, and the case remains unsolved.
