On November 12, 2014, 61-year-old Alan Lapash Sr. was out for a walk with his adult son near a city park in Lorain, Ohio, when they were approached by three men on foot. One of the men pretended to offer a handshake, but instead grabbed Alan's son and pulled him in, leading to an assault on both Alan and his son.
