On August 12, 2016, Tyreshia Cody, age 25, was involved in a tragic shooting incident alongside Tremalik Russell, age 21, in Columbus, Ohio. The incident occurred in the Linden area, behind a duplex located at 1139 E. 22nd Avenue. Patrol officers responded to a reported shooting at approximately 4:07 p.m. Upon arrival, they found the maroon 2003 Pontiac Bonneville in which Cody and Russell were seated had crashed into a utility pole.
