On October 27, 2021, the body of 49-year-old Kimberly Michelle Randall was discovered in a vacant, abandoned Denny's restaurant on Patton Avenue in Asheville, North Carolina. Asheville police were conducting a check of the premises when they found her body, and the case was immediately treated as a homicide.
