On August 28, 2010, Michael Ponder, a 53-year-old man, was found dead near Kezar Stadium in San Francisco's Golden Gate Park. He appeared to have been violently assaulted and succumbed to his injuries at the scene. The homicide occurred in the early morning, and Ponder's body was discovered by authorities shortly afterward.
