In the early morning hours of March 18, 2009, a 32-year-old African-American man named Landreon Taylor was killed in what police described as a gang-related shooting in Las Vegas, Nevada. The incident occurred at approximately 3:55 a.m. at an intersection in the city. Taylor was known by the nickname "Bushwick Bill," a moniker borrowed from the famed hip-hop artist of the Geto Boys.
