In the pre-dawn hours of September 19, 2010, a violent encounter in Las Vegas claimed the life of 19-year-old Eric Taybron, an African-American male. The incident began to unfold around 12:25 a.m. when Taybron and a group of friends were walking on Viking Road, just west of Wynn Road. They were approached by two unidentified young men who asked them about a party.
