In the predawn hours of September 5, 2015, a violent altercation at a park in Las Vegas irrevocably altered the course of a young man's life. Geovany Garcia, a 19-year-old Hispanic male, was fatally wounded in a shooting that erupted as a brawl dispersed near the intersection of Hollywood Boulevard and Desert Inn Road.
