On November 5, 2016, Teniqua Parker, age 29, was shot and killed in Detroit, Michigan, at the intersection of Scheaffer and Liddlesdale just before 5 a.m. The incident took place during a tragic sequence of events in a neighborhood known as "The Hole," an area with a long history of violence. Parker was with her partner, Jamal Reid, when the incident occurred, and both were fatally wounded.
