On March 28, 2010, 17-year-old Andrew Silva, also known as Andrew Tavares, was shot and killed in a tragic incident at a house party in Roxbury. The shooting occurred around 3:20 a.m. at a residence on Maywood Street, where Andrew was found inside with gunshot wounds. He was taken to Boston Medical Center, where he was later pronounced dead.
