On June 15, 2014, Michael Johnson, a 22-year-old, was fatally shot while playing craps on the 1700 block of 103rd Avenue in East Oakland. The incident occurred when two men approached Johnson's group and began firing into the crowd. It appears that this was not a robbery but rather a gang-related shooting.
