In the early hours of February 24, 2007, a life was tragically cut short on a street in Baltimore, Maryland. William Roscoe Duck IV, a 21-year-old Black male, was fatally stabbed in an incident that occurred at 200 South Fulton Avenue. The violence of the act left him with critical injuries, and despite being rushed to Shock Trauma, he succumbed to his wounds.
The investigation into his death was launched by the Baltimore Police Department, who classified the case as a homicide.
In the months that followed, little information was released to the public regarding the circumstances that led to the fatal stabbing. As of mid-2007, the case remained open, with no arrests having been made and no suspects publicly identified. The lack of resolution left a void in the lives of his family and friends, a pain amplified by the unanswered questions surrounding his untimely death. His father, William Roscoe Duck III, would carry the memory of his son until his own passing in 2023, an obituary noting that he would be greeted in the afterlife by his beloved son, William Duck IV. To date, there is no publicly available information to suggest that there have been any arrests or convictions in connection with the murder of William Roscoe Duck IV.
