In the autumn of 2007, the life of Dione Lamont Biggs, a 33-year-old Black man, was cut short by violence on the streets of Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of Sunday, October 14th, in the 2600 block of Quantico Avenue, gunshots shattered the night, and when the chaos subsided, Biggs had been fatally wounded. He was rushed to Sinai Hospital, but his injuries proved too severe, and he was pronounced dead.
