In the winter of 2009, a life was tragically cut short on a street in Baltimore, Maryland. On the evening of December 29th, Joseph Beatty, a 38-year-old Black male, was found at approximately 9:15 p.m. in the 2300 block of Greenmount Avenue. He had sustained injuries from a shooting.
Emergency services responded to the scene, and Beatty was rushed to Johns Hopkins Hospital for medical attention. Despite the efforts of the medical staff, he succumbed to his wounds and was pronounced dead.
