On November 22, 2010, a young Black man named Charles Williams Burrell Jr. was killed in Baltimore, Maryland. At 24 years of age, his life was cut short in the 400 block of North Loudon Avenue. Burrell, who was known to some as "Tank," was a construction worker and a graduate of the Baltimore City Public School System. He was the son of Kimberly Burrell and the late Charles W. Burrell 2nd and was described as having an unconditional love for his mother and three sisters.
