On May 25, 2015, Gerald Bernard Morris, aged 49, was killed in a shooting incident along with Joel Branch in the Valencia Park neighborhood of San Diego, California. The double homicide occurred in the 5300 block of Groveland Drive, where both men were shot and killed by suspects described as two Black males on foot. A third individual was also injured in a related shooting nearby.
Despite investigative efforts by the San Diego Police Department and Crime Stoppers, the case remains unsolved, and authorities are still seeking public assistance to identify the perpetrators.
The San Diego Police Department, alongside San Diego County Crime Stoppers, has offered a reward of up to $1,000 for information that could lead to an arrest. To date, no suspects have been apprehended, and the motive behind the shootings remains unknown. The police have encouraged anyone with information about the murders to contact them or provide anonymous tips through Crime Stoppers.
