In the summer of 2014, a wave of violence claimed the life of Garmal Donte Garrett, a 22-year-old male from Baltimore, Maryland. On the night of Sunday, June 1, 2014, Garrett was in the 100-block of South Kossuth Street when he was shot multiple times.
