In the early hours of a summer morning in Baltimore, a 35-year-old Black man named Pierre Grant was fatally wounded in a shooting. On July 9, 2024, at approximately 2:47 a.m., Grant arrived at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. Despite the efforts of medical staff, he succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead.
The subsequent investigation by the Baltimore Police Department's homicide detectives determined that the shooting occurred in the 4600 block of Garrison Boulevard. Grant was identified as a walk-in victim at the hospital, having been transported there by unknown means after the incident.
