In the early morning hours of February 2, 2017, Jessie Worthen, a 53-year-old man, was inside his home in the Curtis Bay neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. A knock at his window prompted him to pull back the curtain to see who was there. In that moment, he was shot multiple times through the glass.
A neighbor reported hearing approximately six gunshots around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. When police arrived, Worthen was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries. Investigators believe the shooting was a targeted attack. As of now, public information does not name any suspects, and no arrests have been announced in connection with the murder of Jessie Worthen. The investigation into his death remains ongoing.
