In the early morning hours of February 2, 2017, Jessie Worthen, a 53-year-old man, was inside his home in the Curtis Bay neighborhood of Baltimore, Maryland. A knock at his window prompted him to pull back the curtain to see who was there. In that moment, he was shot multiple times through the glass.
A neighbor reported hearing approximately six gunshots around 2:00 or 3:00 in the morning. When police arrived, Worthen was transported to a local hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.
