A gas station worker is found deceased
On June 20, 1975, Robert McKee, a 35-year-old school teacher, was working the night shift as an attendant at McNally’s Texaco Station in Newport, Maine. Around 3:30 a.m., a group of fishermen stopped at the station for gas but found no one there to assist them. Upon entering the station, they discovered McKee lying in a pool of blood, having been shot to death. McKee was working alone at the time, and the murder remains unsolved.
