Elayna Saidee Dorig, a 12-year-old girl from Delano, California, tragically lost her life on July 2, 2020. Elayna was attending a birthday party at a home on Oleander Street when an individual opened fire into the front yard where the celebration was taking place. The shooting also claimed the life of 11-year-old Makeliah Rayann Osorno. Both girls were innocent bystanders, caught in the crossfire of a senseless act of violence.
