On October 9, 2016, 18-year-old Danny Ornelas was shot and killed in San Bernardino, California, in what appeared to be a gang-related shooting. The incident took place in the early hours of the morning, around 2:25 a.m., near the 300 block of West Wabash Street. When officers arrived at the scene, they discovered Ornelas suffering from gunshot wounds. Despite efforts to save him, Ornelas succumbed to his injuries on-site.
