A man is found shot to death inside of his burnt vehicle
Douglas Hedrick, a 31-year-old man, was tragically found dead on March 13, 1981, near Shepherdsville, Kentucky. His body was discovered inside his burnt 1972 Chevy Blazer. The autopsy revealed that Hedrick had been shot multiple times before his vehicle was set ablaze. It is believed that Hedrick was shot in Indiana, likely in the Unionville area where he lived, before being transported to Kentucky, where his body and vehicle were burned in a rural area.
