Upon arrival, they discovered Brown inside a vehicle, having sustained multiple gunshot wounds.
He was one of four homicide victims in the city on that day alone.
Abraham Brown Jr., who played for the Cardinals from 2003 to 2006, had moved to Louisville from Sarasota, Florida. He was in the process of creating a youth sports league to be called 'Family First Sports Academy,' aimed at helping underprivileged children. Brown was a member of Bates Baptist Church in Louisville and worked for Best Buy.
