Frederick Cook, a 69-year-old man from Grand Island, Nebraska, disappeared on August 21, 1990, under mysterious circumstances while working at the city's landfill. That morning, Cook was last seen around 7:15 a.m. by his coworkers, but after some time, they realized they had not seen him and began searching the area.
