In late November 2024, the University of New Hampshire (UNH) community was shaken by the sudden disappearance of Alexis Garcia, a 24-year-old student with ties to the U.S. Navy and Air Force Reserve Officer Training Corps (ROTC). Despite extensive search efforts and public appeals, Garcia's whereabouts remain unknown.
Last Known Sighting
Alexis Garcia was last seen by his friends on Thursday, November 21, 2024. Concerns grew when he failed to make contact in the following days, prompting a welfare check by the Durham Police Department on Tuesday, November 26, at approximately 8:08 a.m. During this check, authorities discovered Garcia's black 2021 Mercedes Benz parked at the Scammell Bridge rest area off Route 4 in Durham, New Hampshire.
