On January 28, 2025, 20-year-old Cameron Isaiah Phillips was reported missing in Annapolis, Maryland. Standing between 5'5" and 5'7" and weighing approximately 120 to 135 pounds, Cameron was last seen in the Annapolis area. His disappearance was documented in the National Missing and Unidentified Persons System under case number MP140955. The Annapolis Police Department took the lead in the investigation, registering the case under number 202500001934. Despite efforts by law enforcement and the community, Cameron's whereabouts remained unknown for nearly three months.
On April 25, 2025, at approximately 5:39 p.m., officers responded to a report of a body floating under the pier near the Truxton Boat Ramp area in downtown Annapolis. The Annapolis Harbormaster had observed a body wedged under the pier and contacted the police. The fire department responded and carefully removed the body from the water. The remains were transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore for an autopsy to determine the cause and manner of death. Subsequently, the body was identified as that of Cameron Isaiah Phillips. At the time of reporting, the autopsy results were pending.
