An 18 year old is shot and killed by a masked gunman outside an Ultimate Fitness Danick Adams, an 18-year-old from Jacksonville, Arkansas, was tragically murdered on August 15, 2008, outside the Ultimate Fitness center in the early morning hours. Danick, who had recently dropped off her two-year-old daughter with her ex-boyfriend, was accompanied by a friend when a masked gunman approached them. The assailant demanded their purses, cell phones, and money, and eventually stole Danick's white Cadillac.
When Danick resisted, the gunman pulled off his mask and shot her multiple times before fleeing in her vehicle. Her friend, though unharmed, witnessed the entire event and later called 911.
Investigators have pursued various leads over the years but have not yet solved the case. A strange twist occurred when Danick's stolen car was seen later that night, driven by an unknown man who fled when police attempted to stop him. A woman inside the car, who remained cooperative with police, was questioned but did not provide enough information to crack the case. Authorities have also questioned the role of the friend, suspecting she may hold more information than initially revealed.
Despite several persons of interest, including individuals connected to stolen belongings from the crime scene, the case remains open. Danick's family continues to search for answers, and the Jacksonville Police Department remains hopeful that the mystery can still be solved with new information.
