Daruis Morris, aged 23, was fatally shot on October 9, 2013, in Chicago's South Shore neighborhood. The incident occurred in the 6700 block of South Chappel Avenue. Morris was one of three victims shot that night when a car drove by and someone inside opened fire on the group. The other victims included Rasheed Trull, a 16-year-old boy, and Sylvester Solomon, who also succumbed to their injuries.
