Joshua Rockett, aged 19, was killed on November 28, 2014, in Chicago, Illinois. The incident occurred in the Washington Heights neighborhood. Joshua was approached by two individuals—one an adult and the other a juvenile—who engaged him in a conversation before the situation escalated. One of the attackers produced a handgun and shot Joshua under the right eye, leading to fatal injuries. He was rushed to Stroger Hospital, where he later succumbed to his wounds.
