On November 8, 2021, a homicide investigation was initiated by the Albuquerque Police Department following the death of 21-year-old Jeremy Garcia. The incident occurred at the Motel 6 located on Avenida Cesar Chavez in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

According to the APD, officers were dispatched to the Motel 6 around 5:20 a.m. in response to reports of a shooting and yelling at the motel. Upon arrival, officers found Jeremy Garcia, who had been shot. He was immediately taken to the hospital by ...
