On a tragic day in June of 2015, the life of 27-year-old Kimberly L. Stern was brought to a violent end in her Dubuque, Iowa home. On the morning of Tuesday, June 9, 2015, the Dubuque 911 center received a call that led police to the residence Kimberly shared with her father.

Upon their arrival at the home located on Clarke Drive, officers were met by 62-year-old Robert Stern. He directed them to a bedroom where they discovered his daughter, Kimberly, deceased. It was immediately apparent ...
